Military Initial and Pitch Circuit

When rejoining for a pitch-out and landing the formation is to be flown through initial (upwind) onto the dead side of the circuit. Formation is to be positioned in echelon opposite to the direction of the pitch, or in line astern. If required the formation is to be descended on deadside not below 1000 ft AGL and the pitch commenced half way along the runway, at the far threshold, or as circuit traffic permits. This will always be briefed. Landings will typically be in formation elements.
