Circuit Entry Options

At an appropriate time the Lead will initiate the descent and manoeuvre the formation to join the circuit for the active runway. Weather, terrain and traffic conditions will influence whether an upwind, crosswind or other circuit entry is used. The type of landing (stream or formation element) will also be a factor in what configuration will be adopted for each leg of the circuit.
