Break and Rejoin
If Wing loses sight of the Lead, or is in a dangerous situation, the Wing must
break away advising. [Callsign] bugging
out right/left, blind (if appropriate), (Altitude)
(if blind).
Rejoins are practised to allow the formation to rejoin after a loss of contact situation or following a stream take-off. During straight/turning rejoins, Lead maintains briefed cruise speed (typically 110 kts for a CT-4 formation or 95 kts for an Airtourer formation). If Lead is maintaining a speed other than briefed cruise speed ±5 kts when the Wing commences the rejoin, it must be called on the radio.
