Inter-Relation of Controls

A little thought will show that correction in one plane will have a secondary effect in another. Elevator will change speed as well as height, calling for correction with throttle. Aileron will produce a change of heading and slightly reduces relative speed. However, in all normal cases of station keeping in straight flight, aileron is used so gently that the reduced speed is negligible.
