Echelon Station
The echelon position is achieved by flying slightly below the Lead, stepped back, at a distance between fuselages of approximately 1½ wingspans (Echelon Right Position).
The correct position is achieved by aligning the following points:
- Vertically
- Vertically - The rear engine cowl clamp should be positioned just above the CT-4 wing fence (Vertical and Longtitudinal Reference Line), or with the nose wheel and main wheel kissing.
- Longtitudinally
- The point at the trailing edge where the Lead's flap and aileron meet is
vertically aligned with the rear engine cowl clamp (Vertical and Longtitudinal Reference
Line).
