Using the Fraction Converter

This topic describes how to use the Fraction Converter to convert decimal time into time expressed as hours, minutes and seconds.
Before you begin, if you cannot see the Fraction Creator pane and the Fraction Converter pane, you have ticked Hide Fraction Section. Select Options > Hide Fraction Section . The tick next to Hide Fraction Section disappears, and the Fraction Converter pane and Fraction Creator pane appear.
This procedure explains how to convert time expressed as a decimal into time expressed as hours, minutes and seconds.
  1. In the Fraction Converter pane, type the decimal time you want to convert in the Fraction Converter field.
  2. Do one of the following:
    • If the decimal time is in hours, select Hrs below the Fraction Converter field.
    • If the decimal time is in minutes, select Min below the Fraction Converter field.
  3. Click Convert.
The time you converted appears in the Hrs, Min and Sec fields in the Fraction Converter pane.
For example, to convert 10.26 hours into a time expressed as hours, minutes and seconds, in the Fraction Converter pane type 10.25 in the Fraction Converter field. Select Hrs below the Fraction Converter field, then click Convert. The result of 10 hours 15 min 36 sec appears in the Hrs, Min and Sec fields in the Fraction Converter pane.
