This topic describes how to convert military time to
standard time, or standard time to military
time.
Military time is used by the armed forces to avoid
confusion between the hours of the morning and afternoon, and is also used
in many European countries. This procedure describes a quick way to
accurately convert military time to standard
time, or standard time to military
time.

Select
The Standard/Military Time Converter
window opens.

Do one of the following:
- To convert from military time to standard
time, ensure the Standard time
converter is selected.
- To convert from standard time to military
time, select the Military time
converter.

Do one of the following:
- To convert from military time to standard
time, type the time you want to convert in the
Military Time fields.
- To convert from standard time to military
time, type the time you want to convert in the
Standard Time fields, and select AM or PM
from the AM/PM selector.

Click Convert.
The coverted time appears in the appropriate fields.
For example, to convert the standard time of 9.27 pm
to military time, open the Standard/Military Time
Converter and select the Military time
converter. Type 9 27 in the
Standard Time fields, select
PM in the AM/PM selector,
and click Convert. The result of
21.27 appears in the Military
Time fields.
