Transforming Map Files

This task topic is the procedure to transform map files.

You need a DITA map file before you can publish the DITA output.

Transform your DITA map file to view the output. WinANT offers a variety of different media from which you can choose to publish your output.

Open WinANT.
On the Main tab, click for the DITAMAP to be Transformed field. The Open dialog box displays.
Locate the file you want to open, then click Open. The fields on the Main tab populate with default values.
In the Output Type list, select the file format for your published DITA content.
Tick the View after transform checkbox.
Click Transform. The Command window opens while your content is processed, then your output is displayed in the format you requested.
